Centricity Music Publishing Intern

Over the Summer of 2021 I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Centricity Music! To be honest, working with the publishing department was a lot more fun and interesting than I had expected. Not only did I make some great friends, but I was able to put what I’m learning in school to use, completing tasks and projects in which I am skilled and passionate! Their mission statement – “Enabling our artists to create life-changing experiences for the world” – is something I can get behind and reflects my desire to support musicians in the music business. While most of the experience was remote, I was given the chance to work in-person in Tennessee for a week.

Music Operations Intern

During the Spring 2021 semester, I participated in a remote internship with Integrity Music. I attended weekly meetings, completed projects in their catalog database – Openplay, assisted with correcting and updating spreadsheet data, and communicated effectively using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

LinkedIn Learning Spree

What do you get when you have lots of free time and one month of LinkedIn Premium? Over 60 hours of education! During the month of January, I completed 25 courses and 2 learning paths in topics including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Teams,, Pro Tools, Matlab, and recording engineering.

90.9 KLRC Internship

In December 2020, I worked for 90.9 KLRC as an academic internship for college credit. It was an amazing experience and I learned a lot in a short time. From scheduling music to research projects, from learning about the audio equipment to database management, I got many different experiences and am so thankful for the wonderful people at KLRC!

Piano Night at the Movies

In response to the restrictions and limitations of a pandemic semester, the piano department hosted an outdoor recital. I played a management role by securing and setting up all the technology needed, gett permissions and guildlines, building the Kahoot program, partially hosting the event, and making sure everything was put back where we found it. I also performed Debussy during the recital. It was a busy day…

Homeschool Podcast Music

One of my high school teachers and good friends started a podcast about home-schooling in 2019. I created the intro and outro music for the podcast, and was a guest on Making Memoria Episode 7. You can listen to the podcast here.
